Kollam, Wednesday, 24 February 2010. The CPM Secretariat meeting would be held in Kollam today. The main agenda of the meeting would be what disciplinary action should be taken against the Kollam Mayor Padmalochanan for inaugurating the reception committee office of the RSS meet.

It had been widely condemned in the CPM circles. The report says that some members are in the opinion of expelling Padmalochanan from the party,considering the gravity of the crime.

He had already regretted for his presence at the RSS function. He had said that he attended the RSS function in his capacity as the Mayor.Again posters appeared against the Mayor this morning demanding, that he should be expelled .

Padmalochanan is one of the senior most leaders of the CPM in the district as well as the state. He had worked as the CPM state committee member and CITU state secretary. At present, he is a member of the district secretariat of the CPM.
