Thiruvananthapuram, Saturday, 27 December 2008: After Former Additional Secretary K Suresh Kumar, the CPM secretariat has now placed Chief Minister’s close confidant and IT Advisor Joseph C Mathew as its next target also another official who faces the CPM secretariat ire is senior Government pleader Anil kumar.
The last CPM secretariat meet is learnt to have demanded the ouster of both Joseph C Mathew and Anil kumar, which was turned down by Chief Minister.
Joseph had been a persona- non-grata for the CPM ever since his active involvement in the Smart City controversy. The stand of the IT advisor had helped the CM raise brave arguments for bridling the Smart City team. His suggestions were crucial in revising the agreement between the Dubai Smart City and the Government.
When the HMT land deal became a controversy that prompted VS from backing out of the foundation stonelaying of Cyber City at Kalamassery, the hands of Joseph Mathew were alleged to be behind the decision.
A committee appointed by the CPM state committee to look into the HMT land deal controversy had found Joseph C Mathew responsible for triggering the controversy.

Joseph C Mathew is the person who actively campaigned for banning Smart City, calling it real estate firm, et al. Read petition hosted at petition online dot com to have a good laugh, and to understand what a moron this fellow is.
He is a friend and class-mate of the CMs son, and has no other qualification to occupy the post.
Good if he will be shown the door.
