Ernakulam, Wednesday, October 28th 2009 : A ‘’slight” crack on the rail track on Ernakulam North- Edappalli route hit train services for a couple of hours today, railway sources said. The crack was found at 9:30 am and soon railway authorities were alerted.

Kozhikode Janashatabdi Express, Shoranur Venad Express, Bangalore Intercity, Gorakhpur Rupti Sagar Express were delayed by half an hour.
Workers led by permanent way Inspector welded the crack in an hour.
Train Traffic was restored after the work was completed.
