Pathanamthitta, Tuesday, 08 December 2009: Heavy rush of devotees was experienced in Sabarimala temple today. Following this, authorities imposed control at Pampa over the number of devotees going to the hill shrine from the Pampa base. According to reports, devotees are now waiting for about 10 hours to have Lord Ayyappa’s darshan.

Meanwhile Chief Commissioner K.Jayakumar said today that a crisis management department would be formed with the joint support of various departments, under the government. More police will be appointed at Sabarimala, to meet emergency needs.
