Thiruvananthapuram, Saturday, May 29, 2010: The AITUC State committee today criticised the Cultural department by saying that the State Cultural department was a blemish to the Government.

AITUC flayed State Cultural Minister M.A Baby by saying that he had called for a film meeting for protecting someone’s vested interests. The Cultural department has become a stain to the government by deceiving the laborers and labor associations.

Minister M.A Baby had called for a meeting to solve the present film industry crisis yesterday. After discussion with various film unions in the state here on Thursday night, Cultural Affairs Minister M.A Baby said that the government was able to reach a consensus with the film unions. He said that the final decision on the recommendations made by the high level committee to solve the crisis in film industry would be taken on June 15.
