New Delhi, Sunday, November 15, 2009: The Dalai Lama wound up his week-long visit to Arunachal Pradesh and left for New Delhi this morning.
The Tibetan spiritual leader, who reached here from the monastery town of Tawang yesterday, left by helicopter for Guwahati from where he will fly to New Delhi, official sources here said.
He consecrated the newly constructed official residence of his disciple Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu, a Buddhist from Tawang, yesterday and spent the night there.
According to official sources Khandu is likely to move to the bungalow which came up at a cost of Rs five crore granted by the Centre.
Khandu, who has been voted back to power last month, had not moved into the existing official residence as it was in a dilapidated condition.
