Kannur, Sunday, 22 January 2012: Janata Party Leader Subramanian Swamy today called for an out of Court settlement over Mullaperiyar issue. He said that the Mullaperiyar dam row between the Tamil Nadu and Kerala states should be resolved through talks between the Chief Ministers of the two states.

Addressing a meeting organized by Akhila Bharathiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) as part of 29th State Conference here, Dr Swamy claimed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was more sensible while her predecessor M Karunanidhi had no moral right to talk on a settlement to the Mullaperiyar row.
