Thiruvananthapuram, Monday 12 July 2010: Twenty-nine new cases of H1N1 infection and one death of a pregnant woman due to the infection were confirmed in Kerala on Sunday.

Lovely (29), of Adimali, Idukki, who was six months pregnant died at the Amrita Institute of Medical Science, Kochi, on Sunday following H1N1 infection. H1N1 infection has so far claimed 48 lives in the State in its second spell.

Of the new cases reported on Sunday, Kochi reported 16 cases, Thrissur, 8, while Kollam, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Kannur reported 1 case each.
