Kannur, Monday, March 28, 2011: KM Shaji, Muslim League nominee from Azhikkode assembly segment received death threats over phone.

According to a complaint registered by Shaji with the Kannur DySP, two phone calls from different numbers in Abudabhi, threatening to kill. The threat came specifying the area Shaji is located, his vehicle and those who are with him at that particular time. The police have initiated inquiry following the complaint.

Shaji, State president of Youth League is currently moving with police protection after he complained of threat from CPI (M).
