Thiruvananthapuram, Monday, February 08, 2010: The demolishing of the structurally unstable sections of the four-storey Sreenivas Udupi tourist home at Thampanoor that partially collapsed on 1st February afternoon killing six people began today.

The demolition is been executed by the buildings division of the Public Works Department (PWD) and would be completed in two weeks.

This was decided at an inter-departmental meeting, which was chaired by Mayor C. Jayan Babu. District Collector Sanjay Kaul, officials of the KSEB, Kerala police, the Fire and Rescue Service and the PWD attended the meeting.
