Thiruvananthapuram, Monday, March 22, 2010: The Devaswom amendment bill has been referred to the subject committee where as the Opposition demanded the bill to be sent to the select committee.

Leading the Opposition protest, Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy said that the bill will not stand before the constitutional scrutiny. Many Hindu organization including NSS and Sangh Parivar have come out against the bill. However the SNDP union is firmly supporting the government over the bill.
