Thiruvananthapuram, Tuesday, November 30, 2009: Addressing a press conference here today, C Divakaran, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies has dismissed reports of milk shortage, he also brushed aside reports that, the government was planning to hike prices of Milma packet milk.

Minister informed that, the first phase distribution of ration cards would be completed by December 15, special Christmas bazaars would be opened by December 15. In order to rein price rise the government would make market intervention of Rs 123 crores, the curb issued on maveli stores regarding the sale of food commodities has been withdrawn.

Maveli hotels would be opened at each districts.
