Thiruvananthapuram, Tuesday, 03 January 2012: Electricity Minister Aryadan Muhammed today said that Government and Kochi metro corporation will utilize Delhi Metro Rail Corporation former head E Sreedharan’s service.

Speaking to mediapersons in Thiruvananthapuram, the Minister said that nobody has tried to avoid E Sreedharan in connection with the Kochi Metro Project. He said that the government tried to invite global tenders as they were not fully reliable on the service of Delhi Metro.

If Sreedharan doesn’t cooperate with the project, global tenders will be invited for Kochi Metro. Global tenders were invited considering the demand of Japan Company as they are financially helping us. The government is not interested in handing over Kochi Metro to DMRC without Sreedharan.
