Idukki, Saturday 22 November 2008: The all employees union has called for a hartal in Peerumedu taluk to protest against the attempt to close tea plantation, which were opened days back.

CITU, INTUC and BMS will participate in the hartal. Emergency services and Sabarimala pilgrims were excluded from hartal.The hartal will be on till 6 pm.
