New Delhi, Sunday, November 14, 2010: Union Minister KV Thomas today informed that he would meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in order to discuss issues relating to the endosulfan in State. Taking a U turn on endosulfan issue, KV Thomas opined that he too had the same opinion of the State as well as the KPCC leadership.
KV Thomas is likely to support the State’s opinion to impose a ban on the use of harmful pesticide endosulfan. Many political leaders including the ruling as well as the opposition had criticized Union minister of state for agriculture KV Thomas for his pro-Endosulfan comments.
Thomas had earlier claimed there was no solid evidence to prove that usage of endosulfan has resulted in miseries for the people of Kasargod.
