Thiruvananthapuram, Friday, October 02, 2009: Inaugurating the birth celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi, Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan said, some evil forces are trying to distance Dalits from mainstream society.
Cautioning against the mushrooming of hideous outfits in the state, Chief Minister said, these outfits are trying to cultivate independent politics in the place of genuine politics and making veiled attacks in order to spread violence.
Kerala through its silent protests has always promoted and uplifted Dalits but some organizations are deliberately trying to topple this.
Expressing concern over increasing caste and religious based violence Chief Minister said, these attacks should be dealt severely.
