Kannur, Friday, 09 July 2010: The police on Friday seized huge cache of explosives have been seized from a private bus here in the morning, within the limits of Edakkadu police station. Around 300 detonators and fuse wires have been seized from beneath the seat of the bus running in Kozhikode- Kannur route.

The incident drew seriousness due to the visit of Vice president Hameed Ansari here on Sunday. The seizure took place in the midst of search prior to the Vice President’s visit.
