Thiruvananthapuram, Friday 03 July 2009: Girls bagged most of the ranks in the final year B.Sc. examinations of the University of Kerala.
Girls won the first rank in nine of the 11 subjects. Of the 6,008 students who took the examination, 3,293 secured first class and 1,000 won second class. As many as 364 students cleared the examination in third class.

The overall pass percentage is 77.51, down from 80 per cent in 2008. The result will be available on the university website www.keralauniversity.edu. Applications for revaluation and scrutiny of answer sheets will be accepted up to July 25. Those who have secured the ranks are:
