Global Ayurveda festival inaugurated in T’puram   Global

Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday, 06 February 2012: The biggest ever Global Ayurveda Festival was off to a colourful start with the Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs- Vayalar Ravi inaugurating the event at Kanakakkunnu palace here on Thursday.

The six days long event (9th – 14th Feb) is being organized with an aim to showcase the benefits and use of Ayurveda. Kerala is best known for its exotic and effective treatment in Ayurveda.

This event will be mainly focusing on the various methods to tackle lifestyle disorders which we often face in our day to day life. About 2500 practitioners from across the world will be participating in this event.

The main attraction of this festival will be the various stalls put up by the students from various Ayurveda colleges of the state displaying various specialty treatments available in the field of Ayurveda.

Another prim focus of this global festival will be the international seminar on non-communicable diseases enlightening the strength of Ayurveda in the prevention and management of various non-communicable diseases.

This event will also be featuring various medicinal plants and some species of endangered and threatened animals to spread awareness among the public. Don’t miss out this mega exhibition giving deep insight on the art of healing.
