Kochi, Tuesday, May 10, 2011: The price of gold today increased by Rs 120 as it reaches Rs 16,360 per eight grams. The price of gold per gram is Rs 2045.

The hike is seen as a reflection of the surging price in international market. Gold is seen as a safe investment and added to this comes the reduction of the value of rupee in comparison with the dollar.
