Gold robbery case in Thrissur: Four more held  

Thrissur, Saturday, June 11, 2011: Four more persons were arrested today in connection with the gold robbery case in Thrissur. The Police had arrested two persons yesterday itself.

A jewellery shop employee Gopi (60 years) was looted of gold ornaments worth Rs 40 lakhs on Friday.

The incident took place around 10.30am while, Gopi, was heading towards jewellery shop from the bus station on foot after collecting the bullion from the gold worker, the gang, attacked him and took away the bag containing the ornaments. The gold belongs to a gold worker Rajiv, a native of Palakkal.
