New Delhi, Friday, January 29, 2010: The Apex Court high-level committee has seeked clarification from the state forest department regarding the take over of the club.
The central empower committee which has been instituted to look into cases related to forests has send the notice.

The action came after petitions by four organizations including Trivandrum Chamber of Commerce came up for hearing.
The petitioners have expressed concern that, the building, which is also a heritage structure and nearby trees would be damaged during the process of take over and steps to prevent that must be immediately taken.
The petition also says that, the government had shown undue haste in taking over the club.

The clarification has been asked from Chief Forest Conservator.
