On Board Prime Minister’s special aircraft, Wednesday 17 June 2009: Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh opined that it is not proper to comment on a decision of a Governor. He was answering to a question regarding the Kerala Governor’s decision to prosecute Pinarayi Vijayan, CPI(M) Kerala state secretary.
Dr Manmohan Singh pointed that the office of the Governor is a constitutional post and added that he is not commenting since it is not proper to do so. The PM added that Governor should be respected, considering the constitutional post held by him.
