Alappuzha, Monday, January 10, 2011: JSS general secretary K.R. Gowri Amma has opined that the Janadhipathya Samrakshana Samithi (JSS) will continue as a constituent of the United Democratic Front (UDF) for the time being. Addressing the media after the party’s plenum here, Gowri said the party had asked her to sort out the differences with the Congress and if nothing worked out by March 1, she herself would decide on the party’s future course.
The plenum, attended by 657 party members from 14 districts of the State, was dominated by discussions on the issues that Gowri had raised on continuing in the UDF after she felt that the Congress was not giving the JSS its due respect.
However, a majority felt that the party should first make efforts to sort out the differences before taking any extreme step.
