Thiruvananthapuram, Tuesday 27 April 2010: The dawn-to-dusk hartal called by the ruling LDF, in response to a nationwide hartal call given by 13 Opposition parties in protest against price rise, is likely to affect normal life in the State today.

Opposition activists are all set to block trains at different points and the LDF leadership has already appealed to the people to avoid road and train journeys during the day. They have requested traders to down the shutters and State employees and teachers to boycott work in solidarity with the hartal.
