HC’s remarks: State Govt express dissatisfaction  

Kochi, Saturday, July 31, 2010: The Advocate General C.P Sudhakara Prasad today informed the High Court Chief Justice, J. Chalameswar that the remarks passed by the HC against the State government was untimely. The government had adviced the Advocate General to inform the government’s dissatisfaction to the HC Chief Justice.

Advocate General added that the frequent remarks passed by the Judges against the State government was unfortunate. HC Justice Sirijagan had on Friday criticized the State government asserting that it was fully under mafia control. He said that in such kind of situation, only politicians, mafias and rich people could survive in this society.

Justice said that the mafias are powerful enough that they could always escape the Courts’ verdict with the help of money. He added that if the State police was not able to thwart the breach of law then the Court has the authority to order for Military assistance.
