Kochi, Monday, February 06, 2012: The Kerala High Court on Monday posted to February 21st the hearing in the sensational second Marad riot case. The Court deferred the case hearing after the state government informed that the Prosecutor had been changed.

Meanwhile the Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan had earlier sought a CBI probe into the second Marad riot case. Achuthanandan alleged that the decision of the previous LDF Government to leave the case to the CBI was sabotaged by the UDF.

The investigating officials were dissolved when the CBI probe reached a crucial stage. VS asked the chief minister to clarify whether they were dissolved as the probe would move towards them.
