Thrissur, Saturday 04 July 2009: Three persons were injured and 14 houses damaged as the monsoon rain lashed the district. At Kodannur, a house owned by Alappadan Davis collapsed in the heavy rain.

Anto (15) and Aancy (12), children of Mr. Davis, were injured in the accident. Raghavan (70) of Pookottu was injured when a wall of his house collapsed on him.

District Collector V.K. Baby said that the district administration has taken steps to speed up relief operations in the rain-affected areas.
