Wayanad, Monday 06 December 2010: The police have taken into custody a woman and her father in connection with the PSC job scam in Wayanad. Those taken into custody have been identified as Jyothi of Kollam and her father Krishnan.
Meantime, the police gave started search operations to nab the missing employees identified as Kannan and Sabarinath, brothers of Jyothi, and Gopa Kumar who obtained jobs via bogus orders.
Special investigating team has reached Kollam from Wayanad to interrogate Jyothi. Officials are hoping to extract more details regarding the scam from Jyothi.
Jyothi had confessed to a private News channel she got appointment without appearing for PSC exam. “The job was secured by offering a sum of seven lakh rupees as bribe. We haven’t forged any document. They just asked for SSCL certificate, conduct certificate and photo. Abilash, UD clerk of Wayanad collectorate had worked as the middle man. Two of my brothers too had secured admission in the same manner.†Jyothi said.
“When I asked for advice memo, Abilash asked me to tell others, who seek it that the memo is with ADM.†Jyothi entered on leave, when the UD clerk raised some doubts about the documents.
When she asked for getting back the money, unless advice memo is not provided, Abilash informed he would get back after consulting others.
Eight persons have been so far identified as secured jobs in revenue department in Wayanad, using forged documents. Reliable sources hinted that the files relating to all the eight, who got appointed using forged documents are missing.

State Home minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan assured that a vigilance probe would be initiated into the PSC recruitment scam in which two persons obtaining jobs in Revenue Department in Wayanad by fake Public Service Commission orders and advice memos. Speaking to the reporters here today, Home minister opined that a case has been registered in connection with this incident.
Revenue Minister KP Rajendran had requested for Vigilance inquiry in the PSC recruitment scam and had send a letter to Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan in connection with this case.

It is reported that many persons have got appointment to the Government Service by producing fake Joining Order and Advice Memo of the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC).
The department inspection on Saturday have found that 6 persons hailing from Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram and Malappuram districts have got appointed to the Village Assistant and LD Clerk posts under Revenue Department by producing fake Joining Order and Advice Memo of the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC).Suraj S Krishnan from Thiruvananthapuram, VP Premjith, K P Vimal, T Gopakumar, A Jyothi from Kollam and K B Shamseera from Sulthan Bathery have secured the jobs through fake PSC joining orders.
Two employees of the Wayanad Collectorate were found to have joined the Department by forging the hall tickets, advice memos and related documents of the PSC. It has been alleged that a fraud of this degree could not have committed without the connivance of top-level officials.
The District Collector has sent a primary report to the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau and the State Government. The Minister entrusted Land Revenue Commissioner K R Muralidharan to probe into the matter and submit the report to the Government at the earliest.
