Higher secondary students bags Kamala Surayya award

Thiruvananthapuram, Tuesday, October 27, 2009: The foremost Kamala Surayya award, organized by Kerala State Council for child welfare (KSCCW), would be given to PV Devi, plus two student in GHSS, Cotton hill. Devi bagged the award for her poetry collection titled ‘ Ini namukkilloru balyam’.

Speaking at a press conference, KSCCW general secretary P Krishnan said that the award in the name of Kamala Surayya was given for the finest published literature works of students. The media awards were also announced. Johnson Poovanthuruthu, Deepika, Kottayam unit (best newspaper report), CR Girish Kumar, Mathrubhumi, Palakkad unit
(Best news photography), R Ajaya Ghosh, Asianet news, Thiruvananthapuram bureau (Best TV program) were selected for the media wards.

would give away the awards on Wednesday evening during the function at KSCCW hall.

    Hearty Congrats To my sister P.V. Devi of Cotton Hill GHSS, Trivandrum….
    Also I would like to thank The Kerala State Council for child welfare (KSCCW), and our Education minister Sri.MA Baby for this venture, the award for the finest published literature works of students.This would encourage the confidence and participation of students to such field. Of course this would be a path for the forth coming generation.
