Kalpatta, Saturday, February 27, 2010: CPM State Secretary, Pinarayi Vijayan reiterated here on Saturday that no one will be allowed to own land which has been illegally encroached, be it Veerendra kumar or his son Shreyams kumar.

Vijayan pointed out that even after the High Court has issued orders against illegal possession of land some people are trying to possess it illegally through nefarious means.

Pinarayi Vijayan was inaugurating the land struggle solidarity convention at Kalpatta, held as part of spreading the land struggle. He said that the CPM took up the subject even before Veerendra kumar and his followers left the LDF.

A lot of arguments are coming up against CPM’s land struggle in Wayanad. In fact the land in Wayanad belongs to the adivasis there. CPM’s struggle is against the landlords who have been possessing illegaly large areas of land for over a long period, Pinarayi Vijayan said.
