Thiruvananthaapuram, Thursday 2 July 2009: After receiving a huge jolt in sidelining the CM, LDF convener Vaikkom Viswan today adopted a brave face by clarifying his big lapse. He clarified that the CM was not called for the LDF meeting yesterday considering his huge responsibilities and the matter that the assembly is in session.

Viswan also made it clear that the meeting convened yesterday was not a full meeting of LDF. The reason cited for calling the meeting at 4PM was that it was on the assumption that the state cabinet would be at 5 PM. The act of not inviting the CM for the meeting had given way to controversies, which finally persuaded the offical faction to take deviation from the pre-determined strategy of humiliating the CM. CPI had kept away from the meeting yesterday, proclaiming their proximity to the CM.
