Isolated heavy rain likely for two more days in Kerala  

Thiruvananthapuram, Tuesday, November 01, 2011: Rain occurred at most places in Kerala and Lakshadweep. Quilandy (Kozhikode district) reported an of 7 cm.

The other chief amounts of rainfall reports in cm are – Kayamkulam (Alappuzha district) 6, Mancompu (Alappuzha district) & Piravom (Ernakulam district) 4 each and Agathi (Lakshadweep), Thiruvananthapuram city, Haripad & Mavelikara (both in Alappuzha district) & Kanjirappally (Kottayam district) 3 each.

Another 29 stations reported rainfall of 1 cm to 2 cm. Kozhikode recorded the highest maximum temperature of 330C and Punalur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 220C.

Rain/ thundershower will occur at many places in Kerala and Lakshadweep. will occur in Kerala and Lakshadweep during next 48 hours. Generally cloudy sky with a few spells of shower/thundershower.

No significant change is expected in maximum & minimum temperatures which will be around 290C & 240C respectively.
