Malappuram, Saturday, April 16, 2011: The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) State secretariat meeting expressed confidence that the party would win at least 21 seats in the April 13 Assembly elections in Kerala. The meeting held here on Saturday headed by Panakkad Hyderali Shihab Thangal, was attended by party state general secretary PK Kunhalikutty and 14 party secretaries including ET Muhammad Basheer, MK Muneer and KPA Majeed.
The UDF would win the Assembly polls with an impressive majority, the meeting observed. The party’s stand by not accepting any support from Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JEIH) also has helped the Muslim League to a great extend in the elections.
