Kozhikode, Saturday, March 05, 2011: Protesting against the ‘CPI-(M) led-Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government’s misrule and conspiracy’ the State unit of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) will hold a massive rally, here on Sunday. Speaking to media persons here, Sadiqali Shihab Thangal, Chairman, Organising Committee, said that they expect over 5 lakh party workers from Malappuram, kannur and Kozhikode to participate in the proposed rally.
Accusing that the state government was immersed in corruption, Thangal alleged that the government has proved a total failure. Former Kerala minister P K K Bava, Working Chairman of the Organising Committee, said that the People are suffering due to the rise in prices of commodities and the government had not taken any initiative to solve the common man’s problem.
Pointing the failures of the government, he said during the LDF rule about 2999 daylight robbery, 2675 chain snatching, missing persons women 9538, men 5732, harassment of women 296446, custodial death 20 and murders 1435 including 45 political murders had taken place in the state. Prominent leaders of IUML and UDF will address the rally, he said.
