Thiruvananthapuram, Monday, December 13, 2010: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Ramesh Chennithala today demanded that the Revenue Minister KP Rajendran must be expelled from the State cabinet in connection with the PSC recruitment scam in which two persons obtained jobs in the Revenue department in Wayanad by fake Public Service Commission orders and advice memos. Chennithala opined that the Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan must be ready to expel Minister KP Rajendran.The present investigation going on in the PSC recruitment scam would not bring out the whole scam and real culprits, he added. Opposition leader Oommen Chandy opined that Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan was trying to protect KP Rajendran in the PSC job scam.Chandy had earlier opined that the government must pay the price for the PSC job scam in Wayanad. Chandy enquired why the government had failed to conduct police verification for the candidates who got appointments in the government departments.Chandy had alleged that the officials were being made scapegoats in the PSC recruitment scam in which two persons obtained jobs in Revenue Department in Wayanad. Chandy added that the government was trying to save in the PSC job scam face by putting the blame on the officers.Chandy added that the vacancies in the government departments must be filled by PSC recruitment only.
