Kannur, Thursday, January 20, 2011: The annual flower show being organised here by the Kannur District Agri-Horticultural Society for the past four decades will be held from January 21 to 31. District Collector V.K. Balakrishnan said at a press conference here that the flower show would be inaugurated by Minister for Cooperation G. Sudhakaran at the Police Maidan here at 4 p.m. on January 21.

Film actor Suresh Gopi will be the chief guest at the function. Balakrishnan said the flower show being organised annually for creating public awareness of flowers and plants, flower and vegetable gardening as also for strengthening a taste for cultivation had been drawing large crowds every year.
