Kannur, Monday, 31 May 2010: UDF boycotted all party peace meet that has been held here at Thalassery. UDF shunned the meeting urging the intervention of Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan to solve the clashes continuing in Kannur since three days. The all- party meeting has been called by the government considering the tension prevailing in the affected areas following a CPM-League clash.
Clashes were reported from Taliparamba last night too, when two CPM activists were hacked. Ten people more have been taken into custody today.
Earlier report:

According to the police, the attackers who arrived in a car threw bombs at the BJP workers who were traveling in a bike and attacked them with sword.
