Malappuram, Saturday, June 13, 2009: Reiterating that the party is single minded on the SNC Lavalin issue, CPM General Secretary Prakash Karat said, the party is ready to avenge a legal battle against the CBI’s decision to prosecute CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan.

Inaugurating the birth centenary of EMS at Perinthalmanna, Prakash Karat said, in the back drop of Lok Sabha election verdict, the party would make necessary changes in the out look and governance of the party.

The party has received a major set back in the last Lok Sabha elections the reason for this failure should be subjected to further scrutiny. Prakash Karat said, it would also try to regain the confidence of public.

CPM General Secretary also added that the party would follow the guiding principle of Party stalwart late EMS Nampoothiripad to regain the trust of masses.
