Kasaragod, Friday, November 20, 2009: Taking the total number of arrest made in the Kasaragod firing to eleven, the police today arrested eight more people.

The police sources had yesterday hinted that more arrests would follow as the police had registered case against 500 men and had begun a massive crack down for those who were involved in the violence.

Meanwhile, the police are also investigating the murder of a League worker during the violence whose body was recovered with stab wounds from the trouble spot.

Also the police sleuths interrogated former Kasaragod SP Ramdas Pothen, and took custody of the pistol that was used to fire.
