Kasaragod, Thursday, November 19, 2009: After four days, the police have managed to nail five persons in connection with violence that erupted in Kasaragod on Sunday evening.
Charges like, assault on police and attack towards devotional places have been leveled against the persons arrested.
Yesterday, the police had registered a case against 500 men, and had begun a massive hunt for more, which suggests that there may be more arrest to follow.
Police have been inspecting the footages of the violence closely to zero in the trouble makers.
The Kerala Cabinet on Wednesday decided to order a judicial enquiry into the police firing in Kasaragod town.
A Muslim League worker had died and another workers body was found with stab wounds in the police firing during a reception organised by the Muslim League to its leaders in the town on November 15.
