Kayamkualm Thermal plant to become full-fledged from this month  

New Delhi, Thursday, 12 December 2008: Kayamkulam Thermal Power Plant situated at Choolatheruvu village in Kayamkualm with a capacity of 350 MW will become fully operational by this month informed Union Minister of State for Power and Commerce Jairam Ramesh in the Lok Sabha. He was answering to a query raised by MP CS Sujata.

Kayamkulam Thermal Power Plant is the first naphtha based plant and 17th project of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC). The plant has three units comprising two gas turbines of 115 MW and one steam turbine of 120 MW.
