Wayanad, Thursday, January 13, 2011: The United Democratic Front’s (UDF) Kerala Mochana Yatra led by Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy was all set to enter Wayanad district today.
The ‘yatra’ flagged-off at Uppala in Kasaragod on Monday, which completed its tour of different Assembly constituencies in Kasaragod and Kannur was all set to enter Wayanad district.
The UDF’s launch of the 25-day road campaign that would pass through the 140 Assembly constituencies in the State is seen as the start of the UDF campaign ahead of the Assembly election later this year. The march would conclude at Parassala in Thiruvananthapuram on February 4.
On February 5, a ‘charge sheet’ signed by one crore people during the course of the ‘yatra’ would be submitted to the Governor.
