Palakkad, Wednesday, January 19, 2011: The ‘Kerala Mochana Yatra’ led by Opposition leader Oommen Chandy will tour the district on Wednesday and Thursday.
District Congress Committee (DCC) President CV. Balachandran said that that the yatra will enter the district at Kumaranallur on Wednesday at 2.30 p.m.
It will pass through Kootanad, Pattambi town, Kulappully, Ottapalam town and Mannarkkad on Wednesday.On Thursday, the yathra will begin with a public meeting at Kongad bus stand.
It will be accorded receptions at Muttikulangara, Palakkad Stadium bus stand, Thathamangalam, Kollengode and Alathur, DCC sources said.
It will conclude its two-day tour of the district at Vadakkumchery Town with a public meeting, he said.
The yatra, ‘against the misrule and wrong policies of the Left Democratic Front Government in the State,’ was flagged off at Uppala in Kasaragod on January 3.
