Kasaragod, Tuesday, January 11, 2011: Kerala Mochana Yatra, led by Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy, was flagged off from this northern border town on Monday. ‘Kerala Mochana Yatra’ was a UDF campaign against the misrule and anti government policies of the LDF government.

The yatra began with a clarion call to the electorate to oust the Communist Party of India (Marxist)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) from power for its ‘abject’ failure on all fronts of administration.

Inaugurating the Opposition United Democratic Front-sponsored State-wide march, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala came down heavily on the LDF Ministry for driving the State backward to all-round stagnation.
