Thiruvananthapuram, Wednesday 2 December 2009: Police forces of state governments press for custody of IM co-founder T Nazeer. Sources said Bangalore police has strongest case for Nazeer’s custody. It is said that Nazeer is also wanted by Kerala police in connection to EK Nayanar assassination plot. Sources said that the BSF handed over LeT man to Meghalaya police.

Nazeer is IM co-founder and is wanted in several bomb blast cases. He is believed to have masterminded Bangalore blasts. Earlier, the Border Security Force arrested two Lashkar men from the Indo-Bangladesh border.

According to the Home Secretay, Nasir and Shafaq suspected operatives were arrested at the Meghalaya border. Sources also said that Nazeer is allegedly the mastermind of LeT in South India and was behind the serial blasts in Bangalore.
