Ernakulam, Saturday, 28 August 2010: The Special Investigating Team (SIT) probing the attack on T.J Joseph, lecturer of Newman College, Thodupuzha, here today made it clear that the hearing on the case would be held at the Special NIA Court.

S.P Unniraja, the head of the SIT, also stated that the case has been classified under the ‘scheduled offence’, which could be taken over by the National Investigating agency (NIA).

At the same time, one of the main accused of the attack, Jamal, who had direct involvement in the hand chopping crime, was nabbed by the police this morning.
