Kochi, Friday, September 03, 2010: In the wake of the self-financing issue, Jus. Mohammed Committee on Friday intervened in the current developments. A meeting of the Supervisory, Fee regulatory committees have been called on Monday, to evaluate the developments following the Supreme Court verdict.

However, the office of the Mohammed committee made it clear that they wouldn’t permit the managements to charge excess fees.

In case of cancellation of the agreement made by Medical managements with the government, the free structure to be implemented would be of the Committee’s; which ranges from Rs. 23,500 to Rs. 25,000. And if any amendments are made in the fee structure that would also have to be examined by the Committee.
