Kerala’s rice quota would be reinstated soon

New Delhi, Saturday, June 27, 2009: Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Public Distribution KV Thomas said here that the curtailed ration quota of rice to the state could be reinstated as the FCI go downs have surplus grains now. KV Thomas added that now a go ahead signal from the Cabinet subcommittee is awaited.

KV Thomas further said that, the state has failed to take full quota of rice sanctioned in April and said, the state should seek parallel measures to store rice.
