Kochi, Sunday 23 January 2010: Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh is trying to shield Former chief justice of India and chairman of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) KG Balakrishnan, alleged eminent jurist VR Krishna Iyer.

Speaking to the media here, Krishna Iyer said the delay in announcing an inquiry is quite astonishing and dubious. He accused the Prime Minister of trying to hide corruption.

Stating Justice V Giri, Former Judge of the High Court has tried to influence him; Justice Krisha Iyer said he has so far refrained from sending an official complaint to the PM on KGB issue, considering a request from Justice V Giri. He added Justice V Giri met him personally and requested not to send any complaint to the Prime Minister.
